The Link below will take you to the site where you may access the information related to the California Government Code page for viewing the statutes currently applicable within the State of California. In order to view the sections applicable to the Local Agency Formation Commission, please follow the steps listed below:

At this site, at the bottom of the page, select the button indicating "CALIFORNIA LAW". At the next screen, click on the "Government Code" item to begin your search. You will need to scroll down to the Sections beginning with 56000 to conduct your review of the "Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act." This act encompasses Sections 56000 through 57550.
